About The Iglesias van der Burg Foundation

The Iglesias van der Burg Foundation is the embodiment of a heartfelt mission, a shared vision, and a profound commitment to combat the devastating effects of cancer. Founded by two friends who have known each other since their college days, this foundation was born from their personal experiences with cancer's cruel impact. One founder faced the harrowing diagnosis of DIPG, a rare and aggressive pediatric brain tumor, while the other lost his father to the relentless grip of GBM. Fueled by these deeply personal experiences, our mission is two-fold: to advance groundbreaking physiological and spiritual healing research for these relentless diseases and to provide hope to children and families affected by them. We are dedicated to funding four distinct research programs, each focused on understanding and treating these cancers. Moreover, we are determined to ease the burden on young patients and their families by providing financial assistance for their travel expenses, connecting them with the healing programs we support. Through this comprehensive approach, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of those battling DIPG and GBM, offering both scientific progress and compassionate support.
